Anna Hill-Biffle

What will you learn?

Leadership, emotional control, trust, body control, foundation before specialization, and so much more. I focus on teaching each and every student about the foundation of being a horseman, not just a rider.  Students will learn to manage their horse from the ground up, from catching, saddling, warming up, mounting, to riding bridleless out or dancing in dressage, I help students become successful with their horse.
"Anna has been amazingly helpful with my two horses. She does a great job of
teaching you how to succeed with your horse!" -Kate in Big Lake, MN
Beginners: Safety first. Horse lessons are so much more than just learning to ride. Each student will first learn how to keep themselves safe both on the ground and undersaddle. Young or not as young, you'll learn how to identify when a horse is calm and ready to be ridden (and what to do if they aren't ready), how horses think and react, how to saddle and prepare your horse for riding, how to ride without balancing on the reins, how to move their horse off steady and rhythmic pressure, and how to care for a horse. Many barns will have the horse caught, some even tacked, but here, you'll learn the whole gamut of horsemanship. Before students learn a specific sport, they will learn how to be well rounded horseman.

Intermediate/Advanced Riders: My focus for you is to identify and fill in any holes in both the horse and human foundations. Lessons are focused on safety, relaxation, trust, impulsion, rider biomechanics, and understanding of new and old concepts. We dive into horse psychology and how to apply it to your specific situation and goals. More often than not a challenge with your horse is due to a lack of trust or respect, or a combination. I will help you learn to become a leader that is trustworthy so you and your horse can achieve your dreams.
